Do you know why islam proclaims Jerusalem one of *their* holy sites?
Do you know why Sunnis and Shi'a fight each other?
Did you know that at one time Christians and Jews were considered lesser allies to islam and their early rulers?
Are you aware that 'infidel' cannot be applied to a Christian according to the Koran?
How rooted in history are islamic atrocities?
In my article, "The Holy City of Jerusalem and the Ummayyad Caliphate," I address the history of atrocities as well as how the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem became a 'sacred' site.

Reply:Who cares! They're all a bunch of geeks. Let them kill each other. I'm sick of hearing about it.
Reply:The Israelites were always warned (by the prophets in the Old Testament) of what their punishment would be if they didn't obey God and His way of life.
Daniel chapter 12 warns of the abomination of desecration and what it means in regards to the end times.
The bible is the Word of God. If one is not born again, that person will never understand how God (the one who gave His only begotten Son, Jesus) truly loves us.
History is in the bible. Study that and you will find the truth. Study not and you will learn fables.
Reply:None at all. It's no more valid to assume that the current fanatics that distort the Muslim faith for their own purposes are "rooted in history" than to assert that the "Christian" fanaticss in the former Yugoslavia were "rooted in the history" of Christianity when they engaged in ethnic cleansing and systematic rape of Muslim women a few years ago.
In both cases, these are fanatics--not followers of these religions--and simply use them to dress up a political agenda of hatred and bigotry. And your contention--which, stripped of the rhetoric and mish-mash of so-calledd "history" that "if we don't fight them there, we will have to fight them here" is nothing but one of the Bush administrations's more idiotic sound bytes.
Reply:Jerusalem or more specifically at the Dome of the Rock, Muhammad's ascended into heaven.
Shia fight Sunni %26amp; vice versa because Sunni think Shia are heretics. Sunnis have a big problem with Shia believing Muhammad's in-law becoming the next prophet. Sunnis believe in a Caliphate which is what Al Qaeda wants to bring back to power.
The war in Iraq isn't really about terrorists it's more about the battle between Shia Muslims %26amp; Sunni Muslims that has been going on for over 1500 years %26amp; only now has the minority Shia gained so much more power which scares the crap out of the Sunnis, Israel, %26amp; Bush. Which is why a nuclear Shia Iran is such a bad thing. Bush invaded the wrong countries.
Reply:There is a mosque "the dome on the rock" in Israel.
Sunni`s and Shia fight bc They do not agree on many things.
Not unlike Protestants and Catholics.
Christians and Jews are called : "People of the book"
( by the way read the book of Hebrews in the bible and see how Christians and Jesus pbuh felt about them ;) "the Jews" )
I think also, you should go to Israel and see how Arabs
( Christians and Muslims) are treated buy Israelis. I wouldn't exactly say they are treated as "lesser allies"
So yeah, read the book of Hebrews and also take a visit to Israel so you can learn of the mass torture and rape and nonstop harassment the Arabs (again Christians and Muslims) face at the hands of Israelis. Study the history of Israel from 1948 on.
I think we need to educate ourselves fully before we start pointing fingers at other faiths. This is the age of information after all. Jews, Christians, Muslims all have blood on their hands.
Good luck with your studies
