Well, I need to refine the topic of an research paper...I want to write it on the sustainability of medicinal plants in a particular area, but don't know what exactly to focus on.
Any ideas? I was thinking about cultivation methods, but that's sort of overdone. I want to do something different.
An interesting sub-topic regarding medicinal plants (uni level research paper)?
maybe write about the wild ones in the jungles
protecting the rainforests for that reason
or maybe pick one medicinal plant and discuss how it was discovered, where and how they grow it now, etc. How its used and for what. Economic value, etc.
Reply:what type of course is this? Economic botany? You could focus on the role of fructans as an alternative carbohydrate (low glycemic index) to help with diet related diseases (Diabetes). Chicory root, jerusalem artichoke, agaves, etc. Food is medicine too. Look at how the energy drink companies have subsumed phytochemicals as stimulants.
