What data analysis (research design) to use?

I'm about to throw my thesis out the window! I'm writing a thesis proposal, and I can't figure out what method I should use to analyze the data. Here's some important info:

Quasi-experiment (non-random sampling)

2 groups of about 25 students (one control and one treatment)

pretest and posttest

Am I leaving out any info that could help someone answer my question? Thanks!

What data analysis (research design) to use?
sounds like an analysis of covariance. You compare the effect of the treatment (treatment vs. control) on your posttest scores, but the posttest scores are adjusted for differences on the pretest. Treatment vs. control is the independent variable, posttest is the dependent variable, pretest is the covariate.
Reply:Gosh, my boyfriend is a stats wiz, wish he was here! I'm not, so I guess my advice is to repost this in the math category.. there will be someone there who is wayyyy more qualified. Good luck with your thesis, I know it sucks, but the feeling of when it's over is A-MAZ-ING!
