Psychology Majors: What course should I take first?

I'm just beginning my BA in Psycholgy and I'm not sure what class to take... Should I take Developmental Psychology, Research Methods, or Human Sexuality? (They are all online courses)

Psychology Majors: What course should I take first?
Although I agree with some of the other posters that a class in Human Sexuality or Developmental would be more "exciting" than Research Methods, keep in mind that EVERYTHING we do in psychology should be based on research and as such to understand theories, studies, and the data, you really need a good grasp on Research Methods. . . I'd start there.
Reply:Well, of course your basic pre-reqs, General Psych (if you haven't already), most of the psych classes are interesting, so taking them in whatever unless your school say otherwise. Psych is very interesting, you will enjoy learning about all the disorders and development.
Reply:Take Developmental Psychology first. I loved that class! I think Research Methods would be a difficult class to take online, so if you could, take it in the classroom. Research is difficult for most students in the behavioral sciences, so being physically in class would probably help.
Reply:DEV, then STATS. Be an expert in stats and you will get a job.
Reply:Ideally you should take some kind of introductory survey class first, but that's not one of your options. With the choices you've listed here, I don't think it really matters which one you take, as long as it meets one of your degree requirements and you've met the prerequisites. If I had to pick one, I'd suggest research methods since it will help you to understand the research that is discussed in other classes (and particularly if you have to read actual journal articles)
