Any ideas for this psychology paper?

I have to write a 6 page paper on medical research methods/approaches. That's all my teacher said. We are in an introduction to psychology class. Do you guys have any ideas what to write about? I'm totally confused with it. Thanks so much.

i would go with medical ethics and the paradox of informed consesnt








One MUST inform a subject of possible risks - but we know that if we say "many people develop itching while under this treatment' a huge number will. many more than if we don't tell them that itching is likely.





it makes determination of actual side effects be in conflict with the idea of fully informing subjects.
Reply:I would suggest writing about different theories and how they can/can not benefit people

Back in the day, trephing was used to try and get rid of mental disorders.


Trephing is chipping away at the skull with crude stone tools until a hole was cut through the bone.


There was no modern medicine at this time, so no one knew that it didn't really help with mental disorders. And the process was completely unethical.

Reply:From what standpoint? The teacher would not have given you the assignment before either teaching you the basics or giving you the places to look for info.

Psychology research and approaches? That is a very wide topic.
