Can you share your best time management tips?

I've been researching time management and personal success for several years now. Have (and have read) an extensive collection of books on the subjects as well as doing online research. What I'm interested in now is peoples own personal tricks and successes. There's a tremendous amount of written information out there and different things work for different personality types, but would you be willing to share with me the tried and true methods that you feel have actually been working for you?

Can you share your best time management tips?
I think that everyone should have to be a short order line cook at a waffle house for 3 months, 4 waitors barking orders while you're trying to cook for 40 people 40 different meals with 1,000 different ingredients all at one time it requires the most quintessential of time managment tools multi-tasking anyone who can do this job can do anything efficiently and will quickly learn to cut all the unneeded clutter and red tape out in a hurry
Reply:First, write down a list of everything you want to do the next day and put it in a planner. Organize that list into areas of importance.

Go to bed early.

When you wake up, do your MOST important task. Then the second. Then the third. etc. etc.

Reply:yes
Reply:I would agree about making a list. When I made a list in the morning I could concentrate on those items and get them done. If I tried to remember in my head I would deviate from what had to be done.

I also think using a calendering program on the computer helps to juggle appointments and required task that will happen in the future.
Reply:Personally, I start my morning by a list of what I need to accomplish during the day %26amp; prioritize it... additional things are added as needed and placed in the proper "prioirity" spot. I cross them off as they are accomplished (some carry over to the next day - and I am OK with that!)---
