Have you gotten pregnant on birth control?

Either using the Pill or Condoms Correctly every time? Just doing a survey for research on the reliability of birth control methods and the myths surrounding some of them. Thanks.

Have you gotten pregnant on birth control?
I havn't, but i know people who have...the truth is that a high estimation of woman use BC incorrectly. Condoms arn't fool proof either. Read all directions first!

Reply:NOTHING is 100% effective except for abstinence.





There are plenty of women who get pregnant with the pill/condom combo.





Birth control at the MOST is only 99% effective, that includes doubling up (pill/condom) tripling up (pill/condom/morning after pill), etc.
Reply:Not me, but a friend of mine got pregnant while using the patch and my sister's friend got pregnant while on the 3 month shot, (I don't know what this is called).

Reply:I have a 26 month old in the other room taking a nap. His mom was on the pill, and she got pregnant at a bad time too. He is her 5th son!!!
Reply:No I was using the Pill for years and never got pregnant and Did not get pregnant while using protection.
Reply:Condom one time the pill another. I have two biological daughters and have yet to try to conceive. They are now 15 and 16 !
Reply:the pill is 97% birth control however there is still the 3% chance you can still get pregnant while on the pill best to use condoms with the pill to be 99% sure. I put 99% because there is not such thing as a 100% in this world.
Reply:I got pregnant using the diaphragm...and yes I was using it correctly.





My mother got pregnant with the pill (me), the IUD (my sister), and a tubal - clip method (brother).





My SIL got pregnant using the monthly shot (Lunelle).

But I did have a LATEX accident.





That resulted in the birth of my only NATURAL child.

i persnaly have only used a condo, 1 out of three times and ive never gotten preg and im not on the pill never have been


the safest way is to use both but niether are 100% sure u wotn get preg


the only way ucan be 100%sure u wont be preg is to not have it

Reply:I haven't - but my best guy friend got his girlfriend pregnant using a condom.





I don't know if it was ripped or torn - but I know they used one.





My Husband and I use condoms for birth control and we've been married for 3years - and I have not gotten pregnant.
Reply:Used correctly there is still a 1% - 2% chance of getting pregnant with birth control. Used incorrectly, your chances pf getting pregnant are no better or worse than with no birth control at all. I personally have never gotten pregnant while on birth control and the MAJORITY of people who have can generally point to things like forgetting their pill one day or putting a condom on incorrectly. But even with perfect use, it's still possible.

Reply:Yes. I got pregnant twice. The first time using both the pill and a condom. The second just on the pill. Come to find out that particular pill made me more fertile? Nice to know after the fact huh?


This was over 12 years ago, the whole pill thing has gotten better since then!

Reply:I haven't, but a fiend of mine did..she took her pill at the same time everyday and usually used condoms..but she still got pregnant. But also..these things are only 99% reliable they even say it on the box. 99% is a lot, but hey there is stil that risk!
Reply:No. Me and my b/f use the pill AND the pull out method and haven't gotten pregg yet..(it's been about 2 years).
Reply:Nope. I've been married for two years and I'm still not pregnant. I'm actually off of bc now because we're about to try. I am scared that maybe I can't though because we haven't had a "mistake" so far. I've even skipped up to 3 days before on accident and still no baby. I've known at least two different women that have had a bc pregnancy.

Reply:Yes, I took the morning after pill - but - it came in 2 pills and I onlt took one as the first made me so sick I was vomiting that day, so this isn't perhaps all that reliable.

The pill will prevent pregnancy, but won't stop STI or STDs
Reply:I did with my third child. After the fact I was told that the antibotics I was taken at the time could have caused the pill not to work. However it seems my doctor and nurse disagreed on if this is really true or not.
