this is how it has to be layed out : talk about the topic or hypothesis , material and methods- describe the research- results , discussion and summary. Any ideas of a good topic? it's a college course but it's just like bio 100 the bio everyone has to take.
I'm doing a biology term paper, and I have no idea what topic to pick?
Keep it simple, like a recent drug discovery or a recent breakthrough. Make sure it's recognizable, don't pick something obscure - and keep it current. Finally, choose something that you're interested in.
Assuming it's not due on Monday, the best place to start would be your school's librarian. I know, weird huh? They're actually really good at helping you find resources that you need to write a decent paper, especially those resources are online. They can also point you toward people to help understand concepts you may not be familiar with.
Some cool topics are (I'm a pharmacist, so I'm biased):
drugs (woo hoo!)
diseases that you know about (maybe a family member?)
nanotechnology
life on mars
hypnotism (what's really going on?)
what's happening to the bees?
bird flu
PTSD (Iraq soldiers...any family in the military?)
pick a recent Nobel prize topic

Have fun!
Reply:im gonna assume ur in college. so GB1 a cool topic u could do is the controversy around sterm cells.
For GB (general biology) 2, u could write a research paper about the water quality in ur area, compared to pre-industrial time, or maintaining biodiversity ( the cichlids and lake victoria in africa, great topic and i used this paper to do multiple presentation in at least 3 of my classes)
Reply:Natural Variation.
^^ Could be a cool one to do, plus its dead easy.
