What is the relationship between action research and grounded thoery?

I understand that Action Rersearch is an orientation to inquiry rather than as a methodology but methodolgical frammwork can I use grounded thoery- as my main method?

What is the relationship between action research and grounded thoery?
Well, both are qualitative research modalities. Wish one is the best, it depends on the project to be researched.

With the grounded theory You can develop a theory from data being collected and analysed; it is a process of conceptualisation through the recollection and analysis of data.

In the case of the action research, the data collection is not the main focus but the intervention, collaboration, and participation, around a process, a situation, or human series of events, in order to promote changes and improvements on involved participants, individuals, groups or organisations, generally through proper, designed and planned intervention.

So, depending on your goals and kind of events or elements to study, one methodology can be better than the other.
